This sums up the musical vision of multi-talented Byron
“Bobby” Treasure of Kingston, Jamaica.  A singer,
songwriter and music producer, Bobby Treasure has filled
diverse roles within the music industry.  He is also an
accomplished trumpet player whose music can be heard on
instrumental tracks including ‘Horns of Blessings’.

Bobby’s music career commenced in Haiti, at the age of 12.  
He fell in love with music as  he watched his mother (by
adoption) play the piano.  In addition to his native English
Bobby speaks French and Creole.  Bobby writes and
performs in all three languages.

Bobby returned to his native Jamaica at the age of 18 where
he performed with the Jamaica Regiment Band.  It was in
1997 that his musical career blossomed.  Since then he has
written and produced for an extensive list of International
Reggae artists including Freddie McGregor, Mikey Spice,
Luciano, Toots and the Maytals, Richie Stephens, Gregory
Issacs and Spanner Bonner.  The following songs are just a
sampling of his portfolio:
Album, ‘Anything For You’ (Freddie McGregor) released by VP Records, USA:
produced track, ‘Get It On’.  The album was nominated for a Grammy Award (Best
Reggae Album) in 2003.  It was also released in Japan.
‘Reggae Hits, Vol. 34’ released by Jet Star, England:  wrote ‘Strength of Love’
performed by Luciano and Toni Anderson.
Album, ‘You Are the One’ (singer: Toni Anderson), released by Treasure Chest
Productions and Unison Entertainment, Canada:  produced album and wrote most of the
tracks;
Note Track # 15, SONG FROM HEAVEN, written because Bobby was so inspired by the
life and works of Oprah Winfrey, where she is coming from and where she is today.

‘Reggae The Movies, Lovers Cover Collection’ released by Media Factory,
Japan:  produced the album.
‘Bobby Treasure Presents A Writer’s Dream - Irie Moods’ released by Treasure
Chest Productions, Jamaica:  produced the album and wrote or co-wrote all the tracks.
Bobby has just released the single, ‘Sweet Little 16’, along with a video.  He wrote and co-
produced the song with Alex Martin-Blanken.  According to Bobby, the message of the song is
simple but significant: “It is a positive reminder of the beauty of all the sweet little sixteens
around the world.  They should be conscious to allow for time, maturity and life experience to
prepare them for life.  They should take their time and focus on what is important – family and
education.”
